Nairobi Workshop Riara University, Nairobi, Kenya
In June 2025, Riara University hosted a workshop under the project theme Business and Human Rights Scholarship: Developing Networks and Perspectives from the Global South.
The workshop explored the importance of strengthening Global South collaborations, rethinking legal frameworks to reflect local realities, and advancing collective approaches to climate and human rights challenges.
The event featured a keynote address by Professor Kameri Mbote, alongside panel contributions from Dr Eghosa Ekhator, Dr Oyeniyi Abe, Florence Shako, and Dr Victor Lando.
The workshop contributed to the project’s wider objective of building sustained international research networks and amplifying Global South scholarship within business and human rights discourse.
